God's power and blessings have been so overwhelming at times that all I can do is cry and thank HIM for what HE is doing through Alex and Stephen Kendrick and our church. My husband and I participated as a prayer warriors and fans in the stands during the filming and we feel so blessed to be a part of what God is doing. Many people have asked Christ in their hearts and lives have been changed and that's what is all about isn't it? You should also see the first movie, "Flywheel"-you can rent it at Blockbusters. Let's send the message to Hollywood to bring more movies like this. God Bless all of you. I consider it one of the best movies I have ever seen. It really shows about how trusting in Jesus is so important in the good times and in the more difficult times. We were so excited to see such a well-made movie with such an interesting story that everyone in the family can enjoy! Even my 7-yr.-old got the facing the Giants/ giants metaphor. My 10-yr.-old and I discussed how refreshing it was to watch a movie in which people talk about God and Jesus like we do. As a Christian, of course I appreciate the messages in this movie, but I am also happy that this is such a quality film that I can recommend that friends and family (Christians or not) spend money to see it. A movie can only be an effective witnessing tool/ source of encouragement if it is worth seeing. My 3 children and I just saw Facing the Giants with a group from our church at a local theater. I believe the movie has been annoited by God. I, like my friends who have seen the movie, feel that Facing the Giants could cause a revival in this country. I couldn't agree more, we are so blessed. What an awesome movie!!! We saw it opening weekend twice - drove 90 miuntes each way to our closest theatre in Lombard, Illinois. We took another family with us opening weekend and I took the guys from my small group last weekend. We are gathering 3 more families to caravan this weekend to see it. God is indeed using this movie in amazing ways. We have a nine year old daughter who has recently been struggling with confidence issues. After seeing the movie I challenged her if she would face her fears; I would face mine. Monday night after school she couldn't wait to tell me how she faced her fears one after the other. So keep up the good work, you can obviously go farther than any of us ever dreamed. This is a good example of why we should dream big, and even then God will probably shock us beyond our wildest dreams. I am in Albany Ga and God has blessed this area many times in many ways and this movie is one of his greatest blessings as well as everyone involved. As a single mom I face many 'giants' and this movie served to remind me and my son that we can face these giants and God will take care of us. All things are possible through him.
